I have noticed that one of the main components to the inertia of making (or not making) a web log entry is the choice of a proper category. Thus, I am eliminating them: no more categories. Or, at least one main category and that’s all. Tagging, now, will be my main method of distinguishing entries one from another.

A few weeks ago a letter appeared on the bulletin board in the company breakroom. It was from Maria, the intrepid Mrs. Chalko. Her husband Nick is our very own sir-yes-sir Marine Corp Major — and also a fine software engineer. Nick was called up from reserve duty earlier this year, and he’s been gone for several months.
